Race cars are capable of very high RPM's. So shouldn't you be too? Increasing your cycling cadence and leg speed is one of the most important and most effective ways you can your improve cycling performance. The Speed title is the perfect way to build smoother and faster cadence, more cycling-specific strength, and ultimately, more speed.

The ideal cycling cadence is between 80-90 revolutions per minute, but many cyclists ride at much lower cadences. Low cadences are less efficient, cause more muscle fatigue, and make explosive acceleration harder to achieve (just like a car that can't downshift to maximize acceleration). Increasing cadence is the way to add acceleration and reduce muscle fatigue. Robbie Ventura, ex-US Postal Service pro racer, coaches you through a structured 8 week program, using big gear, single-leg, ramp-up, sprint, and race simulation intervals to progressively build your abilities.
